Hypnotherapy can be a powerful and effective tool for overcoming fears and phobias by tapping into the subconscious mind to address the root causes of these anxieties.

Fears and phobias often originate from past experiences, trauma, or negative beliefs ingrained in the subconscious. We often experience what we perceive to be real. For example, let’s take two people on the same flight. The first person could be excited about the journey, looking forward to sitting back watching some movies and reading a good book. The second person though, may be extremely nervous and anxious, perhaps fearing the worst outcome. Both passengers are in the same environment yet experienced very different feelings and emotions.  

Excessive fear leads to stress and anxiety overload in our bodies. The amygdala, the part of the brain which is responsible for our flight, fight, freeze response is constantly on high alert, triggering various hormones including adrenaline and cortisol in our systems. Our bodies are like a pressure cooker. If we don’t find a way to release some of this stress and anxiety, the pressure continues to rise until we feel like we are going to explode.

Hypnotherapy aims to reframe these beliefs and create positive associations to help you overcome you fears in a safe and sensible way.

As your hypnotherapist, we will work collaboratively to address the underlying issues triggering that fear and phobia and reframe it with rational thoughts and coping mechanisms for a greater sense of control.
